Energy work is Real bodywork
Energy Work - Subtle yet distinct
Some folks might have a challenging time associating energy work with “real” bodywork. And by “real” I mean bodywork that can be directly and easily felt, like massage or chiropractic, etc. These forms of bodywork maniputate the body structures like muscles and bones. Energy work is definitely a substantially more subtle modality, but if you relax and open your mind, it’s also very distinct. A few days ago, I had a session with a lady who came highly recommended to me here in Las Vegas. Her style of energy work is definitely her own. It’s not Reiki, or color energy or any established form, but it is superb.
Different than some forms of energy work which may have the practitioner hover their hands over various areas of the client’s body, this session started Lacey placing her hands on my right arm and hand. Immediately I could feel a current coming through her hands and connecting with my arm. The current was strongest where her hands touched me, but I could actually feel it travel around/through my body. The moment she took her hands away, the current disappeared. Now, you may not sense this type of energy as easily in a loud and noisy room with lots of distractions, but in a quiet room, while opening the mind and expanding the senses, energy is very clear and distinct.
The effects of energy work can be dramatic or subtle. It really depends upon the individual as well as the issues that are being addressed. In most cases though, the sessions are always very relaxing and grounding.
